Welcome!

Hope Shines Visitors,

Welcome to the new Hope Shines for TWLOHA 2012 Blog! My name is Darienne Rose. I'm a singer/songwriter out of Philadelphia. I've wanted to do something to help the struggling & misguided youth of America ever since I was 13 years old. It was the year I first cut myself and began experimenting with drugs & alcohol. I was diagnosed with depression and would face the next decade of my life with grave pain, addiction, abuse, and little will to live or love for myself. Sometimes I thought I would live in the darkness forever but my need for a HAPPY ENDING kept HOPE dwindling inside of me. I've dedicated the last 2 1/2 years of my life to finding my HAPPINESS and learning to LOVE myself. I cannot even begin to tell you how SUCCESSFUL I've been in finding sustainable JOY!!

Sadly, shortly after beginning this personal quest, my daughter's father tragically committed suicide in the Spring of 2010. I couldn't believe it... "It was supposed to me", was the thought that I had. I could no longer sit around and do nothing to help prevent another child being left fatherless, mother left childless, or wife left to now be a single mother facing the world alone. I was given a second chance and I made a promise to myself that I would SHINE as BRIGHT as I could by facing my fears and living out my DREAMS including helping the ones that have been in the same dark familiar place that I resided in for more than a decade.

This event means more to me than just raising money or awareness for a good cause. This event is to INSPIRE all to SHINE the way they were meant to!! To be living proof that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! You were put here for a reason and it's your mission to find that reason and live out your purpose. I'm here to advocate not only the prevention of tragedy but the promotion of self-acceptance and fulfillment...HOPE & LOVE

So please help support the "HOPES SHINES for TWLOHA 2012" Festival in any way you can!!

With Hope and Gratitude,
Darienne Rose
