Suicide Survivors Group

Hello Everyone,

Recently I was asked by M.E. Carpenter for Suicide Awareness to facilitate a monthly Support Group for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. We had our first meeting last month & I can't tell you how honored I felt that complete strangers felt safe enough to shared their deepest, darkest feelings and experiences with me. The truth is in a group where everyone shares a loss, you don't feel like strangers at all. Without words, you already know where that person has been and they know where you've been. It seems to be an unspoken admiration you both have for one another. Maybe it's the definition of deep compassion.

I want to invite each and every one of you who have experienced a loss like this to join our Support Group this evening and the last Tuesday of every month. I would also like to ask you to please share this post with anyone you believe may benefit from it & thank you for your ongoing support.

In other news: a few weeks ago I attended my very first training class to become an Official Speaker for The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention & I couldn't be happier!! I'm so honored to take the next step in my advocacy for Mental Health & reach a broader audience. You will hear more about where I'm speaking in the upcoming year. Thanks to the AFSP for welcoming me!

I wish you & all of your families a very Grateful Thanksgiving!!!

With Hope, Love & Gratitude,
Hope Shines Founder
